Vocs is the keep for the printing production, now each responsible printing enterprise are focus on the vocs. Then how to dealing with the vocs and what difficulty for it. Now, the following 10 problems will let us clear to the Vocs.

1 What is Vocs?

Vocs is the pre substance of PM.5 and O3 which is caused the O3 pollution in summer and the fine particle in autumn and winter. Some vocs is stink and poisonous which harm person’s healthy.  The usual VOCs including: benzene series, Petroleum hydrocarbon,organic chloride ,Freon series,Organic ketone, amine,alcohol, ether, ester, sour and so on. And the ester, sour, ketone, benzene is more similar in printing process.

Pollution coefficient method: it’s the simplest, only raw material usage and product output is needed in the calculation. But the data is not accurate.

Material balance method: it’s a little complex, it need all related organic solvent information. But the data is near to the true data.

6 how to decrease the VOCS from the beginning?

Using the none vocs raw material.

7 how to decrease the vocs in the process?

Through closing the scene is now the most efficient and basic method to decrease the vocs in the process. It including to close the ink fountain, oven with negative pressure, to cancel or combine the ground convulsions and the to keep the printer in a relatively closed environment.

8 how to decrease the vocs in the end?

Burning, absorption, plasma, photocatalytic degradation , condensation, membrane separation, and bio treatment technology.

9 How to choose the method to dealing with the vocs?

In the current method focus on the end, solvent recovery and rotary enrichment both have the difficulty in the safety which is not advised to use. Activated carbon replacement with little investment but the replaced carbon is also need to dispose with cost. Exhaust gas after concentration dealed with RTO or burning is the better solution in dealing with the vocs. In a word, the enterprise can make the suitable solution according the production environment, production process and production scale.

10 What about the cost in dispose the vocs.

As the cost for the vocs is according the standard “ charge when reach the standard, penalty when exceed the standard”. and the original treatment of the vocs is not good enough, but the end treatment will cost the enterprise a lot, so behind the environment issue, the printing enterprise are anxious for the stopping production and the future environment policy. So the prepared enterprise will have the advantage in dealing with the vocs and may win more chance in the future development.

In the treatment system, as limited for the knowledge, several factories are doubt for the selecting. But this is not only for China, but also for Europe, America, Janpan and so on. At last , nearly 20years going, The industrial vocs is occurring and put into practice.
